While i was in Colombia i had the amazing opportunity to stay with a family. There last name was the Carletos. When i first got there we got so close i never really learned their name. I instead starting calling them by Mom and Dad. It turned out the Carletos never could have children. Mom had become sterial and could not bare them. She was happy to help me out and be my mother. In return for her help i helped on their small buieness. They had their own market stand
a colombian market store
Every day i would wake up at the crack of dawn and help them set up. Dad always used the expression the early bird always gets the worm. When we wpuld get there, no one else would be there making us able to get prime location. The better location ment the more you could sell and the more money you make. Un-like American, Colombia was based upon lots of markets and that was a stable job. Mom and Dad sold crops from their next door neighbor. He would give them the crops and they would get a cut from the sales.
The sun started to rise. I had never seen something so pretty. The colors were so rich and smooth and different from an American sunrise. Because America had so much fog and air pollution this made sun sets not so beautiful. Dad said this ment that people were coming soon. He was right. People were coming left and right and i could bairly handle it. After a coople of hours, we ad sold out. This was amazing. When we got back and Dad told Mom our sucess she gave both of a us a big hug. I only knew them for a while, but it was an amzing time.
